A long private dock extends into the bay, perfect for leisurely walks, casting a line for red snapper, trout and flounder, setting a trap for those delicious blue crabs, or simply savoring the absolutely spectacular sunsets that light up the evening sky. From the dock, you can watch schools of fish glide below, along with crabs and other fascinating sea life that call the bay home.
Inside, the home features an open-concept design with soaring ceilings and expansive glass windows and doors that flood the space with natural light and frame breathtaking bay views. The decor blends nautical charm with relaxed coastal style, featuring wicker and rattan furnishings accented by soothing shades of blue and green. Facing the bay, the great room offers comfortable spaces for dining, relaxing, and watching TV, all with water views as your backdrop. Adjacent is the well-equipped kitchen, designed to make meal preparation effortless, with modern custom cabinetry, gleaming granite countertops, and a variety of small appliances. A breakfast bar provides a cozy spot for morning coffee and easy conversations.
Each bedroom is a private retreat, complete with its own bath, TV, sitting area, and expansive bay views, ensuring every guest enjoys both comfort and tranquility. Step outside to discover multiple elevated decks ideal for dining, sunning, relaxing, or watching dolphins play in the bay. All decks offer easy access to the ground level and the boardwalk leading to the dock. For even more outdoor enjoyment, Whippoorwill features a fabulous screen-enclosed pool, perfect for refreshing swims while staying comfortably shaded and bug-free.
Beneath the home, you'll find covered parking, a convenient fish-cleaning station with sink and running water, and an enclosed hot-and-cold outdoor shower-ideal after a day on the water.

Another wonderful stay at Whippoorwill

Whipperwill
It has been 17 years since we stayed in Whipperwill and it felt like we had stepped back in time. The house has been maintained and is in great shape. It’s definitely our favorite house. Already looking forward to another 2 weeks in 2025!! I’m sure it has been requested many times, but we would love to bring our pup. Whippoorwill
Great house in lovely setting. Perfect for two couples. Ample kitchen supplies and furnishings. Comfortable beds and indoor furniture. Outdoor furniture could be replaced or upgraded for better comfort. Collins personnel great and friendly to work with! Enjoyed fishing from the dock, the beautiful pool, the lush tropical environment, Blue Parrot and the lighthouse beach, and the coupons for ice cream! We have rented Whippoorwill on a number of occasions and have always had a nice stay. On this trip we noted a number of things that need attention. The kitchen sink faucet has a serious leak that can only be stopped by working the handle until you find a certain spot that stops the flow of water. The master bedroom closet light was burned out. There is a broken picket on the back porch railing and the railing itself is unstable and could be dangerous. The master toilet was plugged when we arrived. The pool furniture is in very poor shape. One of the lounges was complete ripped out and was under the carport. The other three lounges were ripped or beginning to be ripped. Whippoorwill is a wonderful house but needs some TLC, upgrading and some overall attention. Hopefully the owners will do so. We LOVE Whippoorwill!!!
We’ve been coming to St. George for over 30 years and have stayed in many different homes. We raised our children here and are now coming with our grandchildren!! We love this comfy, bay front home- the views are incredible, the house is spacious and comfortable and it meets our needs perfectly when we visit family in a nearby home. We love spending time on the beautiful dock and launching our kayak from the shore. Sometimes the water is so still, it really does look like glass- so lovely! We watch the birds and love relaxing and reading on the porches. Bayside Dreams

Perfect getaway
Home was everything we were looking for. Close but not on the beach. Launch kayaks and fish right off the back. All amenities we needed and peaceful setting. Refunds will be issued in the same form the payment was made. Please note: credit card refunds will be issued to the same card the payment was received (including gift cards).

Guests with Travel Protection Insurance will be directed to contact their insurer. Please note: Collins Vacation Rentals does not refund or reschedule for weather events.
