Great two weeks!
Our group just spent two weeks at Jambalaya. We have rented this property a few times over the past few years (either in May or September). We loved the addition of the swing on the roof deck. We love the space this home provides with each bedroom having its own bath and the home is all on one level. The pool is small but very refreshing! We did have a couple of calls to maintenance to come check out our oven and provide us with more lounge chairs around the pool (only one working lounger for six adults when we arrived!). The oven never worked consistently during our stay and needs to be replaced. The other negative is that the furnishings are getting old and worn. However, we loved our stay and will consider Jambalaya again!

Awesome vacation home!

Vacation with all the kids and grandkids... and house was perfect for it! Spacious, clean, fully furnished kitchen, loved the upstairs deck and swing for watching sunsets and sunrises over ocean, steps from beach, and very quiet and safe place to enjoy a week in paradise! Will definitely be back to enjoy again. Perfect vacation at a perfect home to enjoy.

Great House
This house was a great house because the layout was such that the noise from some areas did not bothers others who wanted to go to bed earlier than the rest of the group. The doors were very nice and heavy. All the bedrooms were a good size. The kitchen was very well stocked--maybe overstocked as there were multiple sets of measuring cups and too many pots and pans to count. We did have a couple of minor problems such as the LCD display for the stove was hardly visible. I had to have my grandkids try to figure out what temperature I had it set on. My eyes were not good enough to see any of it (and I wear contacts and also put readers on as well). I did mention that to the rental company upon checkout. Apparently, there are two water heaters because with 9 of us, we never ran out of water and the grandkids take long showers. We have been coming to St. George for nearly 20 years and my crew said it was their favorite house so far. The house was for closing on the sale while we were in the home and I met the new owners who informed me they will be changing the name and making some improvements. The roof deck was really nice to sit on at night and watch for falling stars. Interestingly, the smallest bedroom was also had an accessible shower which was a bit odd because it had a full size bed and a twin so would more likely to have children staying in there. I think bunk beds would have been a better use of that space as well and the house would have accommodated 10 rather than 9 people. Maybe the new owners (who seemed very nice as they did a walk through prior to closing while we were there) will make that change.

Love this place!
We first stayed at this home in 2012 and fell in love with it. We finally made it back and just had a wonderful week. The house looks small from the road compared to so many of the huge homes that are being built. But this home is so spacious once you’re on the inside. Four great bedrooms each with its own bath, a half bath off the dining room and also another half bath out by the pool. The pool has a large privacy wall around it which is just perfect. The house also has an upper deck to sit on in the mornings and evenings to watch the ocean. I cannot say enough good things about this home.

Wonderful week!!
This home was perfect for our bunch…4 senior couples! No stairs was the best! Could carry in luggage and groceries with no problem! Already looked to book again and our week is already taken. We may have to change our normal times. This was the perfect place for all of us! Thank you so much!

Great place to stay and relax
We love this house. It has a private pool surrounded by a high wall for privacy and security. Swing on the roof patio lets you watch the Gulf, plus people watch. King beds, pet friendly.

Best Home On The Island!
We’ve vacationed in 10 plus homes on St George Island and this one, hands down was our absolute favorite! The home is gorgeous, spacious and private! We couldn’t get over how much this home had as far as amenities. Now we’re officially spoiled and can’t imagine renting any other home!
