Our Home away from home
Heatwave has truly become our home away from home. We spent three months there this trip and will be in the house for four months our next trip. The owners of Heatwave take a lot of pride in their property and have made a major investment in the property over the past several years. These updates have made the facility an exceptionally nice place to live and we look forward to returning to the property as long as we are still physically able to make the trip from South Dakota to Saint George Island..

Vacation 2025
We have been coming to St George for years and this was the best time we have had. The house was excellent and very comfortable. We will rent it again.

Private and Quiet
Even though this house is on the main road, a berm in the front makes it feel secluded. New windows keep all road noise outside, for a peaceful and relaxing interior. The open front porch, which has a gulf view, is perfect for morning coffee and reading. The screen side porch provides protection for the times biting insects come out. Because we stayed in March we did not use the pool, but it is beautiful and would be enjoyed in warmer weather. Everything about this house is well cared for and very clean. We look forward to being back next year!

Heatwave has become our home away from home.
This is our third stay in Heatwave and we have thoroughly enjoyed each visit. This time we are staying for three months and that is our plan for next year as well. Heatwave provides everything we need including an elevator. It has sufficient space and bedrooms to welcome friends who come down and spend some time with us. The owner has made a number of improvements to the property, particularly this past year. When we arrived we saw a new ceiling under the house, new steps to the house, a new deck and all new windows and sliding doors. In addition, a new dishwasher had been installed. All these improvements have come with only a modest increase in a rental fee that really fits our budget. We highly recommend Heatwave if it has what someone is looking for regarding size, bedrooms, etc.

Heatwave is our second home!
We are very happy to be back in Heatwave after a year's absence, and we are particularly impressed with all the upgrades the owner has made in the house since our last stay here. Heatwave is a really nice place, and we really look forward to our stay here through the end of next February.
