This home was a dream. We all loved it so much. The floor plan is open and so conducive to cozy conversations and amazing home cooked seafood meals. The outdoor space is equally impressive. There is so much seating and the wrap around deck draws you in for dolphin watching and the amazing sparkling gulf views. We loved this house so much and will be back for sure!

Renter
This is our 3rd year in this house and will do a fourth year! We always are there on a full moon! Very relaxing! You have everything you need and after 3 years, it feels like our very own beach home! The staff are wonderful too!

Nice to be back!
Have stayed at Coastal Cottage several times. Best house on the beach! Was so glad to see the bathrooms updated and new locks on the doors. Had an awesome time with friends!

Great House
We (three generations) loved our stay at Coastal Cottage. The house is very well maintained and beautifully decorated. All the beds were super comfortable, and the recently updated bathrooms are gorgeous. There is plenty of comfortable seating outside and indoors. This is our third house we have rented on SGI, and it is our favorite.

Another fabulous stay
This is such a wonderful house! The set up with master suite on one side of the house and the other two bedrooms (each with own bathroom) is perfect. And noises do not travel, everyone was able to get up at different times and not disturb the others! Well equipped kitchen (special pots and pans for the induction stove top) and everything we needed was there! This is our 3rd or 4th time here and each time is a relaxing, wonderful stay! I believe there was new carpet in the bedrooms and possibly new mattresses too? New table and chair on the awesome deck. You will not regret staying here, it is fabulous!

4 1/2 star rating!
4.5 was not an option, but that is what I’d like to give Coastal Cottage. I’ve stayed in many beach homes over the years, and I thought this one was almost perfect! The proximity to the beach, East End location, hammock and under the house area, along with the BEST porch make this an amazing home for its outdoor space. There is even a door from the kid’s bathroom out to the deck—just whisk them into the shower without tracking through the house. Inside it’s a little worn which is the only reason I took half a star. Ceiling fan noisy, squeaky bed, door from master to deck all need a little work. I also loved that it was all one level. Great house, and I would definitely rent it again!

Beautiful house with a fantastic porch
We've rented this house several times, including under the previous owner. It has the best porch for watching the ocean and relaxing in a shady breeze of all the places we've stayed on the island over 30-plus years. Although the new furnishings are attractive, we found the living room furniture to be very uncomfortable and were sadly disappointed that the house has four TVs but no DVD player.

Coastal Cottage
We have stayed in many homes over the last 20+ years and I have to say that we absolutely loved everything about Coastal Cottage! The perfect location, the house, kitchen equipped with anything you will need, loved the ice machine, the furnishings, decor and the most comfortable and inviting deck area. We spent a lot of time just enjoying the comfortable seating while loving the view! We will be back, it is our new favorite! Thank you Collins for being the best and thanks to the owners for sharing this fantastic home!! We never wanted to leave!

Our recent stay
We vacation in SGI every fall. This is our first stay at coastal cottage. By far the best feature of the house is its wrap around deck and it is the most completely furnished deck I have ever seen. In fact all the outside furnishings as well as the proximity to the beach are fantastic. The master bedroom and bath is nice size and the bed is very comfortable.The biggest downside is that next to it (almost right on top of it) is an 8 bedroom house with a pool. When it is being rented it is pretty noisy. It is hard for 8 couples to be quiet even if they are not being rowdy. Also, the water pressure in the master shower is dismal but ok in the other BRs. The commodes run almost constantly. The lighting in the living room is almost nonexistent and while there are curtains on the windows there are none on the doors so the light streams right in first thing in the morning and makes it hard to sleep in. Renters should be aware that the TV service is not cable or satellite but just streaming channels and no instruction book. In spite of all my nitpicking we have enjoyed our stay here and will consider coming back in spite of the big increase in price for next year.

Coastal Cottage
This is our second time to stay at Coastal Cottage, and hopefully it won't be our last! It's so peaceful at this time of year, and the weather was perfect for our trip! We love the layout of the house; kitchen is well stocked too. LOVE having a second fridge! We all love the front porch...so relaxing. It was a great getaway, hope to come back soon!
