What is the SGI Shrimpfest?

The SGI Shrimpfest is a one-day outdoor celebration of Gulf shrimp at the foot of the St. George Island Lighthouse — local culinary talent serving mouthwatering shrimp dishes, a curated group of arts and crafts vendors, local nonprofit exhibitors, a beer and wine station, and live music. It’s a shrimp-lover’s paradise and a family-fun day on the island, all in support of a good cause.

Every dollar matters here: the festival is a fundraiser for the St. George Lighthouse Association, the 501c3 nonprofit that preserves, maintains, and promotes the Cape St. George Lighthouse, the Keeper’s House Museum, and Lighthouse Park. The event is partially funded by the Franklin County Tourist Development Council.

What to expect at the SGI Shrimpfest 2027
