Just A Splash

Best Location on SGI!
The house is great-roomy and well equipped with everything we needed for our family vacation with 5 kids. But the best thing about Just a Splash is it’s location right on the beach! It’s a quiet spot with just a few houses around it and a good distance from the public beach access. Most days we had the beach to ourselves for several hundred yards! We’ve caught tons of great fish and usually see dolphin pods several times a day. St. George is small and quiet, nothing like the crowds at Panama City or Destin. It’s our favorite beach for good reason and we can’t wait to come back to Just a Splash!

Fantastic retreat!
Just a Splash was a wonderful property! The setup was great for our family, and you can’t beat the location. You don’t even need shoes to get to the beach! Beachfront house provides privacy both on and off the beach, with a private access drive. It is a beautiful house with comfy beds, a can’t-be-beat view, and very functional kitchen and living space—with a bonus “beach toilet” downstairs! We had a great week and will definitely be back

Repeat Renter
I love "Just A Splash". That's why I am a repeat renter. Love the quiet atmosphere and area. Home is away from the busy section on SGI & no public boardwalks. House is open and airy and has plenty of windows to view the beach. I spent most of my time on the upper, covered deck when not on the beach. I'll be back again next year for my fourth stay.

The Perfect Spring Break!
We have stayed at Just a Splash in the summer, but decided to change it up this year and come for Spring Break. We are so glad we did! The days were cool but the sun warmed us up nicely. The evenings were cold enough sit on the beach with a blanket and book, and to open the windows and sleep listening to the waves. The dolphins put on a show every day! A huge pod of 20 or more swam by several times a day. We took the kayaks out to see them up close, and it was amazing! Just a Splash sits on a quiet part of the island-we were often the only people on the beach for several hundred yards. The house is cozy, comfortable, and well equipped with the most glorious views from every window. You won’t find a better spot on SGI!

The Perfect Spot!
We can't recommend Just a Splash enough! It is a charming cottage with a spacious living area, three comfortable bedrooms, and a very well equipped kitchen. There's even a bonus bathroom and shower beneath the house for easy beach access. As lovely as the house itself is, the best part of this rental is its perfect location! It couldn't be any closer to the beach with the dunes right off the deck and the water just steps away. A wall of windows face the Gulf from the kitchen and living space so you can sit at dinner or do the dishes while watching a pod of dolphins swim by or the storms roll in off the water. There are only a couple of neighboring houses, most occupied by owners rather than renters, so we were usually the only people on the beach for several hundred yards. You just can't beat the private location on one of the most beautiful beaches imaginable! My kids enjoy kayaking out to spot dolphins and sea turtles. We have caught many redfish, trout, pompano, whiting, and many more from right in front of the house, a true fisherman's dream. St. George itself is a hidden gem-a small community with an old-Florida beach town feel. Apalachicola, a charming old fishing village with fantastic restaurants and shops is a short drive away. We have been to Just a Splash twice, and can't wait to go back. Book it if you can!

Great house!
This house was just perfect! Very nice, clean, and has all the amenities!! The covered deck was the perfect place for coffee and breakfast! The only little issue was that the clothes dryer probably needed updating.

Mr. and Mrs.
We always want to be on the water when we visit the beach and this home definitely is. The view and closeness was great. We enjoyed the porch and relaxing. The property allows pets so that was a big plus since we travel with ours The walks on the beach were great with him.

Wonderful and Relaxing
We had another wonderful and relaxing vacation on St. George Island. Just a Splash is a nice home with spectacular views of the Gulf from the living room and the deck. We love that it's pet friendly so we can bring along our fur baby who loves the beach as much as we do. We're already booked for next year.

Just a splash
The stove top burners were not working properly. Needs to be serviced. No screen in the bedroom with the twin beds. Other than wit was fine.
