Good to know

Parking: downtown Apalachicola fills up fast — arrive early, especially Saturday. No festival-run shuttle has been announced for 2026 yet; re-check the official festival site closer to the event.

What to bring: cash for food vendors, sunscreen, comfortable shoes; the park is shady but you’ll walk a lot

Kids: very family-friendly — carnival rides and the crab races are kid favorites

Pets: not allowed on festival grounds (service animals excepted) — official festival policy

Rain policy: the festival has historically run rain-or-shine; check the official site the week of the event for weather updates

Where to stay for the Florida Seafood Festival

The festival is about 15 minutes across the bridge from St. George Island — close enough for an easy day trip, far enough to escape the crowds at night. Book a Collins Vacation Rental on SGI and make a weekend of it: beach mornings, festival afternoons.
