St. George Plantation is a unique, Gulf and Bay front recreational community on the west end of St. George Island. The integrity of the Island's landscape has been preserved in this area with winding streets and extremely low density of single family homes. Raised wooden walkways provide direct beach access, and protect the delicate sand dunes. Special building restrictions and protective covenants have also been utilized, as well as limited access, 24-hour security and underground utilities.
The Plantation, with over five miles of the most beautiful white sand pristine beaches, offers an ideal combination of seclusion and convenience - a beach club with a swimming pool and tennis courts for year round use, a 3,800-foot asphalt airstrip and heavily wooded streets that criss-cross the area for bicyclists, jogging and walking enthusiasts.

Scattered throughout the Plantation are individually owned cottages and homes built on pilings, with many different architectural designs. A select number of them, ranging in size from three to seven bedrooms, are furnished and decorated according to each owner's preference, and offered for rental.
